- A projectile is an object which the only force acting upon it, it is gravity. There are three types of a projectile, one, an object being dropped at rest, like off a cliff or ledge, two an object being thrown vertically upward, three, an object being thrown upward at an angle. If you where to throw a rock off a cliff the only force doing anything to it would be gravity. the same thing would apply when something is shot or thrown upwards.
- The formulas used for projectile is d=5t^2
- d stand for distance. t stands for time. also the object would have a max height and then fall back down the diagram would look like a Rambo.
- In hockey, when a player does not have enough time to take a slap shot, they take a wrist shot, which is more accurate when they shoot the puck. In the is this case the puck is the projectile and the and its original motion in the velocity of a players hockey stick, and the downward force of gravity. so if the puck was to be shot from the blue line the puck would have gravitate downward force acting on it over time. so if the play take a shot father away they would need to shot the puck higher which mean they would the opposite for a close shot.
